Quiz and kit night – enter the new champions

Quiz and kit night – enter the new champions

This year we decided it was time to sort out kit and a group of committee members deeided togo through the inventory and clear out unwannted kit.

To enable this we decided to sell some kit to club members, any surplus would be sold on Ebay.

As we were also due a quiz we decided to combine the two activities at the JA.

The kit was set up for 6:30 for members to look round, with the quiz starting at 7:30.

Tonight there were new members in attendance and the resident champions of the last few years, sitting comfortable in their confidence about their victory.

The quiz contained the usual rounds of General knowledge, current affairs and a music round. There was new themed round of dreams, with two picture rounds (famous ships and people).

The early running was taken up by the resident champions as they sneaked into a slight lead with the dreams round but their lead was short lived. As we reached the music round the division became less dramatic leaving the picture rounds to finalise places.

The final scores were in and the champions were dethroned by one point.

After the quiz results kit sales began again with people picking up dry suit, cylinder and equipment bargains.

To round off an entertaining evening we found out it was our secretaries birthday so Paul was presented with a cake by our chair.

I have always loved the sea and diving gives me that little bit of extra special interaction. I love diving anywhere and always find sites interesting and an exhilarating activity, constantly enhancing and improving my skills and knowledge. My favourite diving has to be around the British Isles and in particular St Abbs. It has everything, the sea life, the socialising, the history and the thrill. TSAC has opened up many areas and opportunities for me and hopefully will continue to do so in the future. Here’s to the next adventure.
