Pwllheli

Pwllheli

A different outing for TSAC, a camp and dive trip to Pwllheli, organised by our DO, Alf.

A group of TSAC divers camped headed out for Pwllheli for a relaxing weekend of camping and diving, and general socialising. After setting up camp on the Friday night the greoup settled down for a bit of chatting and organising the next few days diving.

It was decided to dive along the Lleyn Peninsula with two RHIBs

We got out to the St.Tudwal’s islands and had some fun with seals, even though the visibility was poor! There wasn’t much left to see of the wreck of the Timbo, but the following day a 50ft Hallberg Raasay parked itself on half tide rock! We also dived at Trefor pier, which has lost its joy as tey have stripped everything away, what was a haven for marine life is now just sand with a few rocks.

Fab weather, fab company and fab diving!

Thanks to all those involved including Alf for organising and Steve G for towing Nessie

Below is a video of the weekend.

I have always loved the sea and diving gives me that little bit of extra special interaction. I love diving anywhere and always find sites interesting and an exhilarating activity, constantly enhancing and improving my skills and knowledge. My favourite diving has to be around the British Isles and in particular St Abbs. It has everything, the sea life, the socialising, the history and the thrill. TSAC has opened up many areas and opportunities for me and hopefully will continue to do so in the future. Here’s to the next adventure.
