Menai boat run 2025

Menai boat run 2025

Every year since 2006 clubs from across the NW gather in North Wales to take part in the Menai Rib Run. Alf accepted the place on behalf of our club and put together a team of willing coxn’s and crew.

This year 24 boats from 17 clubs took part from as far afield as Leicester, Doncaster, it’s a brilliant day out, organised by Dave Parry and his team from Chester Sub-Aqua Club and a few others.

It’s a way for clubs to check out their Ribs and raise funds for the RNLI at Beaumaris, £1400.

A great run out with two boats full of club members.

  • Boat 1 – Jack, Dave Ashton, Melissa, Steve Mallard & Katie and Alf
  • Boat 2 – Lewis & Tom & family came with their own boat.

TSAC were also on point to help 4 boats that broke down.

The end result was a great day out, a run out for the ribs for the day, fish and chips and raising good money for the RNLI.

I have always loved the sea and diving gives me that little bit of extra special interaction. I love diving anywhere and always find sites interesting and an exhilarating activity, constantly enhancing and improving my skills and knowledge. My favourite diving has to be around the British Isles and in particular St Abbs. It has everything, the sea life, the socialising, the history and the thrill. TSAC has opened up many areas and opportunities for me and hopefully will continue to do so in the future. Here’s to the next adventure.
