A busy night at the pool

A busy night at the pool.

A good night at the pool demonstrating what the club is about and the variety of interests that are encompassed.

It also shows what we can use the pool for in furthering the development of the club.

We had the usual club members getting in the lengths and just swimming for fitness, whilst on the far side the free divers completed the same activity but underwater.

We had Chris doing his OW 4 pool session with our DO, Alf. Chris is developing into an excellent diver, we cant wait to get him into Capernwray and then on into the sea. In addition Joe was trying out his sidemount skills and Lisa then tried out the kit towards the end of the evening.

We have a lot of spare kit for training so decided it needed testing to check whether it was suitable for use or needed scraping/fixing. Paul was recording, Simon was setting up and checking kit, Lisa was completing the in water testing. By the end we had a set of regs ready or use and for potential try dives.

We cant get away without thanks to Phil for lifeguarding, and indeed all those who lifeguard on a regular basis.

Give Alf (DO) or Lisa (TO) if you want to do any pool work.

I have always loved the sea and diving gives me that little bit of extra special interaction. I love diving anywhere and always find sites interesting and an exhilarating activity, constantly enhancing and improving my skills and knowledge. My favourite diving has to be around the British Isles and in particular St Abbs. It has everything, the sea life, the socialising, the history and the thrill. TSAC has opened up many areas and opportunities for me and hopefully will continue to do so in the future. Here’s to the next adventure.
