First boat trip out

First boat trip out

They passed their boat handling trip with flying colours so what better way to celebrate than take a boat out for a run and have a dive at Anglesey.

Our four new boat handlers set out to Anglesey on one the better September days launching and heading out to the Missouri wreck for the first dive. Charles opted to act as skipper for the day leaving Lewis, Rob and George to enjoy the diving.

Whilst they had a good dive the visibility was poor, a maximum of 5meters round the wreck. Fortunately the lagoon was full of life so this compensated for not seeing much of the wreck.

Overall a good trip, a great opportunity to use the skills they have developed, do some diving and use the clubs ribs.

I have always loved the sea and diving gives me that little bit of extra special interaction. I love diving anywhere and always find sites interesting and an exhilarating activity, constantly enhancing and improving my skills and knowledge. My favourite diving has to be around the British Isles and in particular St Abbs. It has everything, the sea life, the socialising, the history and the thrill. TSAC has opened up many areas and opportunities for me and hopefully will continue to do so in the future. Here’s to the next adventure.
